It
continues to mystify to us why landscape is
considered outside of, or separate to architecture. This
landscape
page is provided with a goal to avoid the occasional
enquiry...'why didn't we know you do landscape?'
Ironically
most Arcoessence buildings start with the consideration of the landscape
before the building. We are passionate about siting (refer to this
website page), and working with the topography of each Project. Unlike most,
the planting for us is a part of landscaping, not the whole story. The
plants become more like the 'bricks and mortar' of the building. This is
why landscape and architecture are so closely related, both are about the
space created. Though there are many layers to a landscape design, many
consider there are two key 'secrets' to a good garden, we usually begin
with these with any new client. It is once again about integration,
attempting to 'blur' the edges between outdoor and indoor space in our
designs.
