TATE
1986, Location -
Southern Highlands, NSW. A 25 acre property, sloping
toward the north. The brief was to master plan, incl. roadways & gardens. The
Client, a retired couple, wanted a two storey house,
influenced by an English Cotswold village house, with an Australian flavour!
Our goal was to maximise northern light and views to as many room as
possible, and to carefully position the building into the existing slope
minimising elevation, cut and fill etc. Construction - 'bagged' and
painted brick veneer, platform flooring, and corrugated steel roof.
Architect -
Craig Pattinson
